For over 35 years, True Creations has provided short run and one off custom woodturning services. Located in Penfield, NY, an eastern suburb of Rochester, we do work for local, regional and remote clients. Customers typically come to us directly with their projects or email us their drawings.

Trained in classic manner that apprentices learned woodturning in Europe, our specialty niche has become production hand spindle turning. If you need replacement architectural components for your building renovation project, stretchers for your antique rocking chair or legs for the special piece of furniture you are building, True Creations is your partner for all your hand turned components.

We are always amazed at the variety of work that comes to us from around the country. Recent projects have included porch posts, newel posts and balusters for a house porch in the historic district of Canandaigua, NY. A leg and stretcher for an antique Nichols & Stone (now Stickley) child’s rocking chair. A faux ivory gavel that is a replica of the 1954 Senate Gavel presented to the United States by the government of India. Small ebony knobs for a custom jewelry box and a new mouth piece for an Irish bagpipe. As you can see, we can make items large and small on one of our 5 lathes.

Call us to discuss your project and to obtain a price estimate. Pricing is based on actual time and materials.
